Biography

Dr. Philip Redlich is a board-certified general surgeon who has served in various practice and leadership roles at the Ϲ and the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. These roles include surgical clerkship director, associate dean for curriculum, chief of the Division of Education, director of the PGY 1 curriculum, and chief of surgery at the Zablocki VA. He has now transitioned to focus primarily on surgical education and surgical mentorship.

Dr. Redlich chairs the Department of Surgery Mentoring Committee, focused on early-career surgical faculty and recently published the department’s experience dating back to 2016. He joined the Committee for Accelerated Research Discovery in Surgery (CARDS) to support faculty-research resident mentoring during the research experience. He continues to support the Division of Education through resident and student educational efforts, education research, and other activities through various programs and venues.
