Biography

Hi! My name is Audrey Mattmiller, and I am from Wausau, Wisconsin. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse in 2023 with a BS in Biology, and minors in Neuroscience and Psychology. During my time at UWL, I was involved with several support programs for individuals with disabilities, which deepened my understanding of advocacy work.

Following graduation, I became a genetic counseling assistant at the Mayo Clinic Center for Individualized Medicine. In this role, I supported clinics for predictive testing and rare disease, as well as research studies focused on cancer and population genomics. I’m extremely grateful for my time as a GCA, as it has deepened my passion and appreciation for genetic counseling.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, trying new coffee shops, going for walks, and doing puzzles. I am excited to be here at Ϲ in the fifth cohort, and I am looking forward to all the opportunities Milwaukee has to offer.
