Biography
Hello! My name is Bri Korducki, and I’m from Watertown, Wisconsin. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse with a degree in Biology, emphasizing Biomedical Sciences, and I also minored in Chemistry and Psychology.
During my time at UW–La Crosse, I was a student-athlete on the women’s volleyball team, which taught me invaluable lessons about teamwork, leadership, and resilience. Alongside athletics and academics, I worked with the United States Geological Survey on environmental research, focusing primarily on toxicology and pesticide use to control invasive carp populations.
After undergrad, I transitioned into the field of genetics as a Genetic Counseling Assistant at Versiti in Milwaukee. In this role, I supported several laboratory genetic counselors with a range of tasks, gaining exposure to the dynamic and evolving world of genetic healthcare.
I’m incredibly honored and excited to begin my journey toward becoming a genetic counselor as a student in the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling program at the Ϲ.
Outside of academics and work, I love reading, running (I'm always signing up for the next race with friends), and playing both grass and sand volleyball.
