Biography
Catherine McManus, MD, MS, FACS, is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Chief of the Section of Endocrine Surgery. She is a high-volume endocrine surgeon specializing in the treatment of thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal disease, including inherited endocrine syndromes. She offers high-quality, individualized care using minimally invasive and cutting-edge techniques, including radiofrequency ablation of thyroid disease and robotic adrenalectomy.
Dr. McManus earned her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and completed her general surgery residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, where she also obtained a Master’s Degree in Clinical Research Methods from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. She completed her endocrine surgery fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center. She is a board-certified general surgeon and holds a Focused Practice Designation in Adult Complex Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery from the American Board of Surgery, recognizing advanced training and experience in the management of complex endocrine conditions. Dr. McManus is passionate about surgical education and training the next generation of physicians, with research focused on clinical outcomes and surgical education.
