Academic Year Programs

The Office of Academic Pathways (OAP) Academic Year Programs provide structured learning opportunities for local middle school, high school, and college students interested in careers in medicine and the biomedical sciences. Through progressive, age-appropriate programming, students build knowledge, explore career pathways, and strengthen their academic preparation within a supportive learning community.

StEP-UP Program Information

STEP-UP introduces students in the Milwaukee area to careers in medicine, research, and health. Through sustained engagement across educational stages, STEP-UP supports students as they explore academic pathways, prepare for advanced study, and develop the skills necessary for success in medical and graduate education. Students participate in programming tailored to their current academic level:

Middle School Program

Middle school participants engage in interactive, grade-level learning modules designed to build curiosity and foundational scientific understanding.
