The Ϲ General Surgery Residency Program aims to train excellent surgeons in an academic environment that values synergy of the residents and faculty, surgical education and resident training curricula, innovative research and broad clinical exposure.

Ϲ General Surgery Residency Program Mission Statement

Our mission is to train compassionate surgeons to provide evidence-based care for patients from not only our local underserved communities but also those referred for complex quaternary care. We are committed to providing residents with varied backgrounds, perspectives, and career aspirations the skills they need to become clinically and technically excellent surgeons. We foster a rigorous and supportive environment, grounded in the pillars of our academic mission: education, mentorship, and research.
