What time can guests arrive at the Marcus Performing Arts Center?

Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. The guest entrance is at 929 N. Water Street. From there, directional signage will guide you to the Bradley Pavilion. For those parking in the Marcus Center Parking Structure, we encourage you to enter the Marcus Center via the skywalk entrance. More information about parking and directions below.

What should students bring to the Commencement Ceremony?

Students should bring their full regalia (Gown, Hood, Tassel, Tam) with them. Your regalia is for you to keep after the ceremony.

How do I wear my regalia?

Please view the informative regalia video that was created to help show the proper way to wear regalia, and the process of Hooding.

Is the Marcus Center ADA accessible?

Yes. Elevators and ramps are located throughout the building. All entrances are wheelchair accessible and wheelchair services can be provided upon request.

Do I need tickets for my guests attending the Commencement Ceremony?

No tickets are required.

How many guests can I bring?

Each student may invite up to 10 guests of their choice.

How far is the Marcus Center from the Ϲ main campus?

Depending on traffic, it is approximately a 12-minute drive to get from the main Ϲ campus to the Marcus Center.

What is parking like near the Marcus Center?

We encourage all students and guests to enter the Marcus Center via the skywalk entrance. To access the skywalk from the parking structure, take the stairs or elevator in the southeast corner of the structure and go to the third floor (roof level). From there, directional signage will guide you to the Bradley Pavilion.

Who is the Commencement keynote speaker for 2025?

Ϲ is pleased to welcome Donald E. Arnold, MD, FACHE, FASA, as this year’s Ϲ Master of Science in Anesthesia Commencement keynote speaker.

Dr. Donald E. Arnold, MD, FACHE, FASA, is the Immediate Past-President of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. He also serves on the boards of Mercy Health East Communities and Western Anesthesiology Associates.

Will the Commencement Ceremony be live-streamed?

The entire Ϲ community is invited to lend its support to the 2025 graduating students by attending the ceremony in person, or virtually via Ϲ’s YouTube channel.

What time should students arrive at the Marcus Performing Arts Center?

Students should report to the Bradley Pavilion with their regalia for robing no later than 3 p.m. We will be conducting a quick rehearsal on stage between 3:05 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

How do I receive my Diploma after the ceremony?

Students should return to their robing room location to receive their official diploma following the ceremony, and prior to meeting up with family and friends.

What is the process for photos and videos during the ceremony?

Professional photographers will be taking photos of each graduate at the ceremony. Guests should refrain from approaching the stage to take pictures or video during the ceremony. The ceremony can be viewed live or any time after.

How long will the ceremony take?

The ceremony will last approximately one (1) hour.
